In just a little more than 24 hours, the George W. Bush Presidency ends and, with it, American ideals, the Constitution and freedom will be restored.
Just about two-thirds of the country apparently think that Dubya was an abyssmal failure, according to a recent poll reported on CNN. Forty percent of those two-thirds think his failures are a direct result of his own personal shortcomings.
Tomorrow this country opens a new chapter on equal rights, civil liberties, and personal freedoms.
Some days, pride in your country is stronger than others, and tomorrow I will be beaming with pride — that pride a result of the people of this great country seeing beyond color, beyond political differences (in some cases), and beyond their own wants.
Yep, it’s truly a great day to be an American!
